#3- Advice on Academic Writing

Metacognitive analysis:

Having analysed the source provided, I think it is of great importance to consider all different aspects regarding academic writing.
As learners and future teachers, we need to acquire the ability to develop macro and micro skills accurately. So, succeeding in writing an essay is part of it. Not only is it necessary to focus on the topic to be dealt with, but also on the organization, spelling and the steps to follow according to the type of text we are to produce.
A worthy feature to consider is the use of other authors' pieces of writing. In fact, it is common to consult other productions, and even take external points of view.  Thus, it is crucial to beware of "plagiarism", a serious problem that can be avoided by using the correct rules to cite sources.
As regards my personal experience dealing with this task, I must admit that it was a kind of challenge for me, not only because of the amount of  material we were supposed to handle , but also for the lack of time I had and the technological tools I had to learn to use. At first, I felt a bit messy, but once I got organized I could select the prominent information and I could understand the contents clearer. I truly found this task extremely useful.
